The Serena Zone is for youth ages 11 - 13 years of age or grade levels 6 - 8. The goal is to provide strategy based instruction that supports independent learning demands of the middle school curriculum. Students enrolled in this zone can expect improved fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing skills designed to foster independence.

We provide a curriculum to develop executive functioning – memory, attention, processing and sequencing via the use of Fast ForWord. We also use Reading Assistant to help students improve fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension abilities. Direct instruction techniques help students develop self-regulated learning strategies.

The after school program for middle school students will begin this fall. Check back for updates!

Our summer literacy program is still in development for middle school students. Check back for updates.
